The Autumn of Life
In the Autumn of life they find oysters on the sea-shore
Two weary travellers,You and I
Watching the myriad hues on sunset sea
As the day passes by,
The gentle breeze creates ripples in my open hair
Just like those in the sea
I run in frenzy laughing and singing
Blissful that you're close to me.
We fear no solitude and despair, no fear of watchful eyes
For the sanctity of the bond we share
Brings new hopes with each sunrise,
There is haste to collect all the treasures
From the bountiful sea's breast
Before the distant falling shadows loom large
And all birds return to their nests.
Your dreamy intent gaze reflect the innermost feeling
A sense of timelessness pervades our entire being
Suddenly the sky, the dancing waves, the nature begin to sing
We lift our face upwards and make a silent prayer
"Please oh God! Freeze this moment forever and forever....".
