Twilight Magic
I watched you in the twilight zone
With unbridled wonder,
your youthful face cast a magic on me
As if vying with nature
Like a trembling dew drop
Not tumbling down a distant leaf!
A sprightly dance of golden corn;
Or the soft orange sphere waiting to peep
And prepare all lives for a promise unborn
Later when the soft orange had turned
Into a crimson mass of blazing rays,
Standing at crossroads I knew
It was time to part ways,
But I carried with me souvernirs dipped in silver and gold
Little twinkling stars they were to be
When a pitch dark night Id behold
Our paths crossed again in the setting sun
Crossing the barriers of time, age and space
As I looked at the slightly bent silhouette
Again the twilight magic had begun!
