Blue Robin
I wanted to be a blue robin
Flying merrily in the sky
With the scent of wild flowers
Still lingering in my wings
I longed to dance by a singing brook
But I couldnt!
I only encircled a barren land
Endlessly, on my tired feet
Listening to the cacophony of a ruthless noon.
I could never tear open the grey-black coat of darkness
And have a glimpse of the glistening dew drops
I was lost in the abysmal depth of night!
Did I want too much from life?
Gold and silver, laurels and medals I asked for none
I wanted to be a blue robin
Flying merrily in the sky
